How to Replace the Chrysler 200 “Rounded” Key Fob Battery (2015, 2016, 2017)

What you will need:
1x CR2032 battery
Flip your key fob over and pull the silver switch on the back to release the metal key.
Next, look at the bottom of the key fob. Can you see a slot next to the keyhole? Good. Now, insert a flathead screwdriver into this slot and twist it like a key. This will separate each back cover of the device.
From here, all you need to do is lift the old battery out of its housing with the same screwdriver. Be gentle not to damage anything!
Take a new battery (CR2032) and slide it into place with the positive side down.
Finally, click the back cover of the device back together and you’re done.

What you will need:
1x CR2032 battery
The first thing is to locate the small indentation on the bottom-left side of the key fob.
When you find it. insert your flathead screwdriver into this slot, and turn it like a key. Doing this will separate the two halves of the device.
Next, carefully remove the rubber piece with the buttons on it.
Now that you are inside, use your screwdriver to carefully remove the old battery.
Slide in a new battery (CR2032) and install it, keeping the positive side down.
This is the final step. Put the rubber piece back in place and click the cover of the device back on. That’s all it takes; nice work!
Test your new battery: lock and unlock your car doors or push start button to see the response.

I have changed the dead battery but my Chrysler key fob still won’t work. What could be wrong?
This is a common problem after changing key fob batteries. First, check the key fob battery to make sure the positive/negative side was correctly installed. In addition to that, confirm that the supposed metal contacts are touching the battery. If you correct this and your key fob battery still doesn’t work, reach out to your dealer to figure out what the problem is. He/she may need to reset or reprogram your Chrysler remote key fob.
